The soleplate of the iron is damaged or scratched The soleplate should be replaced with a new one. We recommend that you contact us and ask for a repair. 3. Steam is not being used When you iron without using steam, your Philips steam iron may not glide as smoothly as it could. For optimal results and good gliding, please use steam while ironing.
