It’s my first time using an electric shaver. I would conclude that it’s an eye opener as its design is ergonomic and glide seamlessly according to contour of my face where i want to shave. It also produces more evenly shave than a manual shaver. A manual shaver is also not as durable and it’s not cheap especially from the big boys like GILLETE, SCHICK & others. It’s a very well designed and engineered breakthrough product from PHILIPS as it can deal with dry or wet shave unlike the conventional one which preferably has to work with shaving foam or gel. So another expense which can’t be avoided if you want to cut yourself and stuff❤️

Easy to shave especially the neck area, easy to clean and good battery life as I haven't charge the device since purchased 2 months ago. Value for money!

5 stars as I didn't expect a shaver to perform almost like a manual razor. Electric shavers have come a long way and this is pretty close to what you get from using a manual razor. I'd recommend a wet shave either with warm water or use shaving soap and a brush to lather. Takes a few tries to get it right but its all about convenience and this is certainly useful for travelling.

Bought this as my anniversary gift for my husband. He like it so much. Easy to use and can shave the beard very clean and smooth.

I am so exciting to get hold of a Philips series 5000 electric shaver. First look - The S5000 has a two-tone blue and black glossy that looks elegant and premium. The grip - this Philips S5579/60 wet and dry shaver feels light in your hand. The rubber around the grip area feels soft when you hold the shaver. The textured rubber around rear and the sides area let you hold the shaver firmly. The technology - Philips shaver is getting more advanced with this Philips S5579/60 wet and dry shaver. Philips S5000 series have 45 self-sharpening SteelPrecision blades on this Philips shaver together with a technology that auto-adapts cutting power for an effortless and gentle shave. Philips S5000 series electric shaver has fully flexible heads that turn 360° for a thorough and comfortable shave. The shave - I have not shave for 12 days and my first try on this shaver is a “wow” feels. The shaver feels smooth on the skin and the neck area (without water). Later I tried to shave after wetting my face, the shaver does the job effortlessly. The shaver blades comb through hair around my mustaches without missing a hair. Quite good feel for a season user of shaver like me. Cleaning the shaver - Cleaning the shaver under running water does the job easier. I do not need to use my finger to clean blades area which is a bonus here. This shaver is certified with IPX7. We can clean the shaver under running water by unclipping the shaver heads. My shaver comes in with one bar battery and I have to charge it before I can use it. One hour charging time did the job. A three full bar shown on the front side of the shaver indicate a fully charged shaver once you press the big squarish power button at the front side of the shaver. Locking feature - the shaver allows you to lock by holding the power button for 3 sec. To unlock, hold down the power button for 3 sec again. Battery life - The shaver comes with an hour battery life but I found turning it on for a few minutes every other day for a quick shave or trimming of facial hair for past one week without needing to worry of battery power. The battery life still show 2 of 3 bar left after a week of usage. I am confident to bring this shaver out for those week-long traveling without worrying of battery issue. Pros - Clean shave, close to the skin - Lightweight - Ease of cleaning the blades - Battery life is great, a week of daily trimming and still running ok - Good battery performance Cons - no wireless charging Overall rating - 4.5/5
